Andrew Purdie chats with Russell Manser, a survivor of institutional child sexual abuse. Russell opens up about his childhood and how growing up dramatically influenced his later years, eventually leading to him committing crimes as a teenager and being admitted to the adult Long Bay jail, despite having just turned 17 years old. Sadly, Russell was unable to escape the prolific sexual abuse that occurred within the jail walls, and shares with Andrew the extreme hardships he endured throughout his teenage and adult years due to the abuse. Russell shares his journey of drug addiction, crime repetition, rehabilitation, and the start of The Voice of a Survivor.
